Environmental policies

Applicable scope

These environmental policies apply to all stages of all products and services produced at the SHIKIBO LTD. head office, the Tokyo branch, and each workplace. This includes the planning of, the management of the production and processing of, and the sale of cotton, synthetic cotton, industrial textile products, industrial chemical products, industrial materials, food additives, plastic, fiber-reinforced plastic, construction components, and vehicle and airplane components. It also includes the rental and management of the real estate and the products and services made through business activities like power supply through solar power generation.

Basic philosophy

SHIKIBO LTD., in addition to fulfilling our corporate social responsibility related to global environmental conservation, will offer eco-friendly products and contribute to the realization of a safe, secure society that is in harmony with the natural environment.

Basic Policies

We are adhering to the following basic policies to achieve our basic philosophy.

  1. We will work to prevent pollution and to improve our environmental management system continuously
  2. We will adhere to laws and regulations related to the environment, as well as to accords that our company has agreed to.
  3. We will set environmental goals and targets and periodically revise them.
    Our environmental goals are as follows.
    1. Reduction of environmental burden
    2. Effective utilization of resources
    3. Promotion of development and sale of eco-friendly products
    4. Promotion of education and enlightenment related to the environment
  4. To ensure that we will achieve our environmental policies, goals, and targets, we will create an implementation plan, then document, implement and maintain it.
  5. These environmental policies will be taught to all who work at and for our company and will be disclosed to the general populace.
  6. These environmental policies will be periodically revised based on the results of management reviews.
